Maybe next year...

Maybe next year I'll be more on top of things. Maybe next year I'll do more than photograph my family, design a card and then leave it sitting on my computer until it's to late to get the cards out before Christmas. But for this year, well,  here it is.  Sorry family and friends.  On a brighter note the pictures do have a red background so maybe they will have to be merged onto a happy valentines day card coming to a mail box near you soon!

  The pictures were taken in our living room with the red walls and my new ring light!  Yay!  The snowflakes came from a digital kit by Rhonna Farrer on Two Peas in a bucket and the fonts are marsella and ck roxy.

Sweet...I'm a genius and I didn't even know it. I found this and some other interesting links on a few blogs today.  They were talking about how the big trend in design is handmade.  It's supposed to be a breakaway from how digital and clean everything has been in the last few years.  And scrapbooking is a part of it.  Funny, but very cool.  Here is a link:

Oh Christmas Tree

Here it is!  Our tree.  It looks so little in our house because of the high ceilings but it is really almost 8 feet. It's our first tree.  And the best part is we paid for it with the money Mark won in a local singing contest.  So, we will always have a good story to remember to go with it. 

  As you can see I have a small obsession with stars. 

The picture isn't the greatest.  It's always pretty dark in our house, but it's even worse today because of the storm.

It's sort of a tradition in our family to have a train around the Christmas tree so my parents bought this one for the boys a few years ago and this is the first time we have been able to use it.  The boy's are thrilled.  We are often woken up in the morning by a loud "All Aboard!"
