So, I don't often promote things here but if I use a product or a company a lot I like to share what it is. Really because I like to get recommendations from other people myself. There are a few company's in scrapbooking that I find myself using over and over again. Making Memories is one of them. So when they came to me and asked me if I would like to do a give away on my blog I was thrilled with the idea.
As you all know we are in the middle of a move. And while we don't yet have an apartment in New York it's certainly going to be a small one so I've been trying to come up with some clever organization ideas for my scrapbooking and photography work. I was delighted when I came across some of the new organization products from Making Memories. I love how clean and pretty they are and how functional they work. My favorite for all my tools is the Desk Top Carousel. So that is what I asked to give away.
Here is a picture of it in my Mom's craft/sewing room where I have currently over taken a table. I love working in that space with her. She is usually at the sewing machine while I work at the table. The walls are full of things that she loves. It makes the space really fun and cozy.
Here is a view from the top so you can see how much storage it has. 6 drawers, ton's of different compartments and it spins around so you can turn it to see what you need. I love it!
Okay, so now for the drawing. Leave a comment and tell me something that you love about your creative space or what your favorite organization tip is? I'd love to know. Anyone can enter. I'm going to have Jenny from Making Memories choose to be fair so friends and family feel free to enter! I'll leave the drawing open until Thursday at midnight!
What I love about my creative space is no one else wants to go in there. You see, I live in a house with 3 boys. So every other room is their messy room. This one is just for me. Sometimes I just go in there and sit and look at my pretty papers, my pictures on the wall, and all my goodies. I know that no one else in the house wants them and I have something that is finally all mine. :)

Wow. I'm first. I love my craftroom. It has all my toys, except for the computer, which is in the office. I don't have to share this space with my husband, so it can be as neat or, uh, un-neat as I want. Mostly it's un-neat. Have a lovely day.

Hi! I'm in the process of moving my scrap space from a corner of the laundry room to a corner of the family room. The kids are a little older now and hopefully will not get into all the goodies as much. I bought a huge bookshelf that is from floor to ceiling....it is the same material as the carousel;) I know this would be a great addition to my space. Thanks!!

We are currently remodeling our basement and I'm looking forward to a creative space all my own. I do however have an organizational idea. I attend a lot of crops with friends and find I was spending to much time planning my pages at the event. I've started a process that after my pics are printed I put them in large ziplock bags with papers/embellishments/and a layout idea to get me started. I then can browse my packets at the event and see which one I'm most inspired to start at the time.

My room is currently inhabited by my 10 month old son, the poor little guy. We are looking for a new housewith more room as I type this...I have no organziational tips because I I am so unorganized. Maybe this product will help me out!

I love quotes/thoughts, so I like to hang them all around my creative space. It helps me think of new ideas.
For Organization I need things to have a label. That makes it easy to put things back after each project, so that I can stay organized.

Wow! If I had that craft caddy, it would be my favorite thing in my scraproom. But my favorite thing right now...my over the door clear shoe organizer. It holds punches and other tools that used to get lost in the bottom of my drawers.
Have a Great day!

I have been wanting this for sooooo long! :) I love the color in my scrapbook room...I recently painted it apple green and got a black & white toile bedding set for the guest bed. Also, my husband finally got around to hanging my MM wall unit...love, love, love the rainbow of paints and glitters that line it's shelves!

What I enjoy about my office is that I close the door and leave, and everything remains exactly the same. My cats can't get in and make any messes, and my current project doesn't have to be cleaned up. My organization tip is glass jars from IKEA. They are cheap and they look great--ready to hold all my little items.

Ohhh how I love these!!
My favorite thing about my scrap room would be my scrap cart. It is very retro and was my Grandmothers. She kept it in her kitchen when I was a little child. It had her toaster and coffeemaker on it. And now I store my paints and storage boxes on it. I think of her almost every time I see it.
As for tip: I am not the most organized person in the world, so I am not sure how good I am at giving advice but I keep my ribbons tied around large jump rings that can hang from the wall or be put away into portable storage in a moments notice. I organize them by color and/or type.
Thanks for the chance to win one of these cool organizers!

I would love to have the MM carosel! The best way to organize my cardstock scraps is by color in manila file folders. They are in a left drawer of my desk where it is close and easily accessible. thank you.

What I love most about my space is that it is hidable. I live in quite a small apartment and there just never seems to be enough room. We have a small hallway that has a cubby (I guess that is what I would call it). I've put shelves in and a curtain that covers it so I can let it drape when guests come over and not interrput my pojects when I'm in the middle. One day when my husband and I grow up, we'll own our own place-with a craft room of course!

i love the color of my studio - not just the walls, but the special knick knacks i've collected, the ribbons in their dispensers, the jars of buttons. it's easily the most colorful space in my home!

I have some old fashion candy jars (four of them) that I got a thrift store and painted black. I keep my ribbon in them, wrapped around old-fashioned clothes pins and organized by type (ie. polka dots, stripes, plain, and other). I like it because it's kind of unique and a great organizing tool.
You can see it in the second picture down:

I would love to win. I have adored the carousel for a long time. It's fabulous!

My favorite thing about my craft space...is just that, it's MINE! I love that I can make a mess and leave it, or clean it, or just keep piling it up. Then I can just close the door and keep the 3 year old and kittens out. I also just recently installed a peg board on the wall, and I love it. I can easily see everything I need.
Glad to hear no one was hurt in your accident BTW...and it will get better:)

The one think that I love about my space is that it is mine all mine I don't have to share and I can leave my mess out when I'm done and I don't have to pick it up when I'm done.

I love using tupperware containers to store my stuff, they are very study, and hold my giant puches well!

What I love most about my craft room is my colorful ribbon. I've got all of my ribbon (that's not on bolts) hanging over hangers. These hangers hang from bars that run over my desk. It's both and pretty and functional.

I have a very small space to play so I would have to say my best organization tip would have to be my pegboard wall. I simply purchased a large piece of pegboard from my local home depot (you know like what you see in a retail store or a garage with all the holes in it) add in some hooks (which are also available at the home supply store) and you now have an instant wall of space to hold all you embellishments and other products that come in packages that are able to be hung. This is a very inexpensive way to organize.

I do not have a designated space, I use the dinning room table. What I love about it though is that it is surrounded by the sounds of my life, my children and family, the TV, the washing machine - all the things that inspire me to continue recording our memories. My Children like to join in and sometimes not so welcome but they are beginning to play too - what fun that is. As far as organisation I have a trolley with 6 drawers that stores my tools etc, and vertical paper holders that sit on the top. I would love one of these carousels to put my most used items it that I could move to the table without hunting through drawers. Thanks for the chance to win. Siobhan

I love about my scrapbook room/den is that I have all my stuff in close by and that I can still be in there and scrapbook with my daughter nearby doing the same thing on the floor. I try and have a place for everything if at all possible. I find when things are out and visible I use them more.

My space is my space and nobody elses!! I love that I can arrange all my supplies however it works for me. Most of my supplies need to be visible. If I don't see it, I don't use it!!! Love the new Clip-it turn-table from archivers. I have the large mm embellishment containers!! They house everything from ribbon to chipboard to stamps. Love the new turntable!!!! It is perfect for me. Organized but visible. Thanks so much!!! Hope I win!!!!

My creative space has to be portable right now, because we live in a small apartment.
Something that helps me is storing fabric, etc in clear containers so I can see which fabric is where, and I also love the way it looks. I also tend to group small items into big ziploc bags and then place the bags into an attractive box (which I can haul between rooms, depending on where my 10 month old is playing).
Thanks! :)
