So even though it's been a tough time around here there has been a lot of fun things too. Here are just s few things in the last few weeks that I have found and loved, or done and loved, or listened to and loved.
1. Hello, Ingrid Michaelson and Joshua Radin concert, could anything be better? Ummmm yes, throw in Alexa Wilkinson who was their opener and a few good friends (Sarah, Chloe, Emily and Heidi) and you've got the best concert ever. There is something about Ingrid Michaelson that makes me want to yell into the streets for everyone to go and buy her c.d. Especially all those people who say they are fans but really only know her from the Old Navy commercial. There is much more to her than sweater commercials. Seriously. Go to itunes and listen. She is amazing and so nice.
We stayed after because Sarah and Chloe happened to snag set lists from Joshua so they wanted to get them signed. And I got to talk to Ingrid for a second and she is moving to Brooklyn! Yay. Okay, so I know it's a big place but it makes me feel good that someone I admire wants to live there instead of the traditional, WHY? Why would you live there? I get from all of my friends in Manhattan.

Go listen to her music and Alexa's and Joshua's too for that matter. Okay, I'm going to stop talking about it before I become a super geeky fan instead of a super cool fan.
2. Mento's + diet soda=two amazingly excited little boys and one happy Grandpa.
I bought this little science experiment for the boys from a book fair a while ago and I've been waiting for the perfect boring day to bring it out. That boring day came a few weeks ago. My Dad bought the soda and well I'll let the picture explain the rest.
Exciting isn't it? Well, they thought so anyway. For the two seconds it lasted. lol.
3. I found these shoes:

Love at last I've found thee and in the form of a yellow shoe no less. Aren't they pretty?
4. My mom got me this lotion from bath and body works and I love the smell of it:
Midnight Pomegranate
5. My Dad is a great Dad, every Valentines Day my Dad goes to the store and picks out a card for each of us that he thinks we'd like. Then he writes us a message about that year and all the reason's why he loves us. He does it for all of us and he has since I was in like 4th grade, and I know that it started then because I've kept every card. Every one. I remember thinking that the first card he gave me was the most wonderful card in the world. It was a photograph of a teddy bear in a stripped prison uniform behind bars and it said you've stolen my heart on the front. Hey, it was the eighties and I was 9 years old. What can I say? The fact that I remember it pretty much tells it all on it's own I think.
Here is my card from this year...lest you have doubts in his card choosing. I love this one as I have loved them all!
6. And last but not least, Did I mention that I get to see this boy in 11 days! Nothing...nothing could make me happier than that.
